As a team member of Pôles magnétiques, art & culture, The Transatlantic Company conducts on behalf of The Canada Council of the Arts a study on accessing international opportunities.. In recent years the Council has scaled up its international outreach in a significant way, doubling its investment over the past few years. It has also established a leadership role in cultural diplomacy through partnerships, networks and targeted initiatives. As the Council looks towards the future, the research team has been asked to focus on how individual artists, groups and arts organizations from across Canada access international opportunities. As part of the fact-finding mission, we have identified key trends, emerging markets, best international practices, cross-cultural exchanges and how to foster connections and opportunities for youth, Indigenous arts and artists and support for artists with disabilities.
